Credit unions and trading AI

Jun 10, 2026

Banks arrive, and ship death spills part of your wallet.

  • Added three credit unions with varying withdrawal fees: Hollow Vault Combine, Astra Mutual, and Meridian Reserve, none tied to a faction.
  • Added a Bank tab at stations; each station hosts at most one union, so your money is reachable only where it has a branch.
  • Changed ship death to spill 10% of your on-ship wallet at the wreck, lootable like cargo. Banked credits never drop.
  • Added wealth intel to ship scans: a deep scan reads how loaded a pilot is, an active ping sharpens it to a rough figure.
  • Changed traders to buy gluts cheap, haul across systems, and sell where prices pay, moving real station stock and prices.
  • Raised trader wealth caps so a long-haul trader can become a rich target.

Collectors, wing contracts, named pilots

Jun 10, 2026

Loot needs collectors, and wings get party-only contracts.

  • Added Collectors, a utility item class for gathering loot; without one you must fly nearly on top of a container to scoop it.
  • Added Magnetic Collector I/II and the Vortex Collector to station shops, each widening your collection ring and pulling containers toward your ship.
  • Changed Collectors to also extend the ore pickup ring.
  • Added wing contracts to station mission boards: convoy strikes accepted only with a party of 2+ (or 3+ for heavy convoys).
  • Changed wing contracts to pay every signed party member in full.
  • Changed convoy spawns to one per party, not one per member.
  • Changed persistent pilots to carry full names like Trader Joss Wellington II or Gunhand Cora Thorne. When one dies, the name is gone for good.

Group play: shared XP, party bonuses, rarer drops

Jun 10, 2026

Kill XP shared by damage, with party bonuses.

  • Changed kill XP to be shared between everyone who damaged the target, split by damage dealt.
  • Added a party XP bonus: +10% kill XP per party member in your system, up to +50%.
  • Changed gear drops from ship kills to be much rarer; generic enemies mostly pay in credits and ore.
  • Added a party drop bonus: each party member in your system raises the chance a kill drops gear.
  • Changed kill missions to advance for every party member in the system when one of you scores the kill.
  • Kept wreck salvage payouts unchanged.
  • Changed tiny damage taps under 5% of the target to earn no XP.

Social: friends, guilds, parties, mail

Jun 10, 2026

Guilds and parties fully work, with chat history.

  • Fixed party invites and guild invites doing nothing when accepted.
  • Fixed chat, whispers and party/guild updates going silent after an automatic reconnect until you fully relogged.
  • Fixed players staying “online” in friend lists forever after their connection timed out.
  • Added chat history: logging in replays the last 15 messages from Global, Trade, Help and your guild, with their original timestamps.
  • Added guild leadership transfer, plus promote, demote and kick buttons on the guild member list.
  • Added a guild treasury: any member can deposit credits, the leader can withdraw.
  • Added party loot rules: split credit drops evenly with party members in your system, or send them all to the leader.
  • Added online/offline notices when someone on your friends list logs in or out.
  • Added a mail nudge on login when you have unread messages.
  • Changed mail so letters with unclaimed credits can’t be deleted before claiming them.

  • Changed friend lists to sort online pilots first.
  • Changed system notices for guild events: joins, leaves, kicks, rank changes and treasury moves are announced to the guild.

Fix: station shops

Jun 9, 2026

Station shops stock gear again, varied per station.

  • Fixed station shops showing no gear; weapons, shields, thrusters, generators and scanners are buyable again.
  • Changed shops to stock per station, so each one carries a different selection of gear.
  • Changed industrial shops to stock part of the base-building catalog, not every base core and part.
  • Changed stations to fly the flag of the faction that owns their system; stations in unclaimed space are independent.
  • Removed the gear shop from about 1 in 10 stations.

Google sign-in without leaving the game

Jun 9, 2026

Sign in with Google from the login screen.

  • Added in-game Google sign-in: the game shows a short code, you enter it at google.com/device, and you’re signed in on approval.
  • Added a Copy button for the code.
  • Added a gear button to switch between the in-game code and the browser window; it remembers your choice.
  • Changed sign-in to fall back to the browser window automatically if the in-game code can’t start.

Possessions panel

Jun 9, 2026

See every ship and base you own, and where each one is.

  • Lists every ship you own and its status: active, docked, in space, or destroyed, with its system and station.
  • Lists every base you own with its full vault contents, expandable per base.
  • Added a Locate button that plots an autopilot course to any ship or base.
  • Added an F5 hotkey that jumps to the Possessions tab (rebindable under Controls).

Encrypted sign-in

Jun 9, 2026

Your login credentials are now encrypted in transit.

  • Changed sign-in to encrypt your credentials in transit, so your login token can’t be read off the wire.
  • This is automatic; you don’t need to do anything.

Per-ship hitboxes and tighter sign-in

Jun 9, 2026

Bigger ships are now bigger targets, and sign-in got some hardening.

  • Changed ship hitboxes to scale with the hull, so larger ships are easier to hit and small craft harder.
  • Tightened sign-in against abuse with per-source rate limiting.
  • Locked down the Google sign-in redirect to trusted local addresses only.

Fix: reconnect and connection stability

Jun 9, 2026

No more getting stuck on the loading screen when you reconnect, plus sturdier networking.

  • Fixed getting stuck on “waiting for first sector snapshot” when you log back in or reconnect after a server update, including when your ship was docked.
  • Changed reconnect to restore your ship, cargo, credits, and HUD cleanly instead of a blank screen.
  • Hardened the networking so a bad or corrupted packet can no longer drop your session or take down the server.

Fix: station names

Jun 9, 2026

Docking shows the real station and system name.

  • Fixed the docked station panel briefly showing a backend id instead of the station’s name.
  • Fixed the station panel showing “Sector 0” instead of the system name.

Galaxy map cleanup

Jun 9, 2026

Claimed-land territory map, one system panel.

  • Redrew faction territory as a smooth claimed-land map; a faction’s systems fuse into one region and rival borders meet in between.
  • Removed the duplicate system popup; selected-system details now show in one top-right panel.
  • Added station info to the top-right system panel.
  • Removed sector numbers from system names.
  • Shortened the pod-mode banner on the map.

Jun 9, 2026

Each pilot now shows as a card with their ship's artwork.

  • Character select now shows each pilot as a card with their ship’s artwork, name, and credits.
  • Removed the account number from the character screen.
  • Gave the sign-in screen its own Meridian Void header and tidied up the layout.

  • Added a speedometer to the HUD, above the radar.
  • Added live charge-rate readouts to the shield and energy bars.

Jun 8, 2026

Prettier map, glowing lanes, and base markers.

  • Added base markers to the galaxy map: gold for your bases, violet for your guild’s.
  • Added a selected-system readout in the map’s top-right corner.
  • Reworked map systems into glossy tinted orbs.
  • Added a soft glow to the warp lanes between systems.

Build your own base

Jun 8, 2026

Deploy a base, run offline factories, craft top-tier gear.

  • Buy a Base Core at a Freeport, haul it out, and deploy it on a planet or in open space.
  • A dozen base types, from factory foundries to cargo depots to fortified citadels.
  • Fit reactors, storage, shields, turrets, hangars, factories, and fabricators.
  • Factories keep producing while you’re logged off.
